David relies on a combination of his deep technical knowledge associated with valuation consulting practice and his entrepreneurial and management experience to deliver exceptional value to his clients.

As founder and President of Value Inc., David divides his time between client service and firm management duties. He has significant expertise in all three of the firm’s practice areas and has accumulated experience with a tremendous variety of companies in terms of their industries, their business models, and the situations that give rise to needs in the valuation consulting area.

David has consulted extensively in the financial and valuation fields for more than twenty years. Prior to forming VALUE Incorporated, he was managing principal of a national valuation firm and a manager in the valuation practice of a global accounting and consulting firm. David has been published on several occasions in a variety of industry and trade journals. He often speaks to groups of business owners, professionals, and lectures on valuation topics at colleges and universities. He has testified on numerous occasions in deposition and trial settings in a variety of federal and state courts.

David holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation. He earned his MBA with a concentration in finance from Southern Methodist University and holds a BA in liberal arts with a concentration in economics from Austin College. David is an active member of several local and national professional organizations, including the CFA Institute, the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts, the American Society of Appraisers and Financial Executives International. He also serves as a member of the Associate Board of the Cox School of Business.

David grew up in the Dallas area, and enjoys the country lifestyle he and his family live on a ranch outside of the city. In addition to his professional activities, he serves on the boards of several organizations with missions focused on academics, faith, and youth leadership development.
